    What if we flip the article this way;

    Local Atheist Group leader leads 15-year-old astray

    Anywhere, USA— A leader of a local atheist group will be arraigned Thursday for smoking marijuana and having an unlawful sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl in the parking lot of the groups headqaurters. John, a leader at the local atheist’s society, “Cynics Incorporated”, is accused of meeting 15-year-old Jane Doe through the atheist group. On June 22, 2008, He is accused of meeting with Jane Doe and driving in his car to the atheist group’s parking lot, where he parked in the lot. He is accused of smoking marijuana with the victim and illegally engaging in oral copulation and sexual intercourse with her in his car.

    Now, how does this version (any more or less than the original article presumed to caste a disparaging light on Christianity), say anything meaningful about whether atheism is true or not, or whether it is responsible for “evil” in the world. It doesn’t.

    invalidly loaded and unfairly biased propoganda is more easily revealed however, when it gets flipped to the other side and we take a look at how acceptable it would be if the propogandist faced the same invalid, irrelevant Shlock!

    Free thought is grand (when it’s fair)

    15 or so yrs ago I met a man who had a 19 yr old daughter as well as a few other kids. His 19 yr old was married and already had a kid and lived in Colorado. It turned out that when this girl was a high schooler she attended a local church youth group weekly and was having sex with the youth pastor, who was married. Turns out she was not the only one he was doing either. The parents went to the church and the guy denied it. They did an investigation and when it was discovered he was a cheat and a liar, they fired him. Girl becomes pregnant. Pastor leaves his wife and kids, marries neighbor’s 17 yo daughter. Moves to Colorado Springs and worked (I don’t know if he is still there) for Focus on the Family. When I heard this story I was a Christian and could not believe this could be true. Oh, what a naive fool I was.
