Please, don’t thank God

I’ve only seen snippets of the media coverage of the “Miracle on the Hudson,” the incredible crash landing of US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River. All 155 people aboard survived as the pilot, Chesley B. “Sully” Sullenberger III, somehow managed to get the plane down in one piece (and it floated!). Can’t wait to hear an interview with him.

But I’m also sure I’ll hear from many on Flight 1549 that God saved them. B.S. If the Lord intervened to keep them alive, it would mean that God hasn’t saved His children in other airplane tragedies Let’s give praise to Sully and the airplane’s “ditch switch” that sealed the bottom of the aircraft so it didn’t sink like a stone.
